Our culture of pioneering innovation has resulted in over 2,000,000 sq m of environmentally certified warehousing in Europe.
Our Development Process
Among our primary objectives is to reduce our carbon footprint. We are committed to meeting or exceeding the requirements of local legislative, regulatory and environmental codes of practice.
GLP has been one of the pioneers on developing sustainable buildings since the company’s origins. In 2004, GLP launched its Eco Template, a framework for continually improving the environmental attributes of our developments and this is something we share with both customers and competitors. This suite of green initiatives delivers energy savings of 25% compared to traditional warehouses. In this way, we provide thought leadership and encourage best practice across the industry. We believe looking after our planet should be a shared responsibility rather than a competitive issue. We aim for all our new buildings to achieve a BREEAM Excellent certification for sustainability. That is a high bar we have set ourselves, but we are committed to being an industry leader when it comes to sustainability.
