Daan Van den Hoven is Head of Fund Management for GLP Europe. Before joining GLP, Daan worked over 10 years at Prologis having various Pan-European responsibilities. Until recently, Daan had been acting as Vice President of Transactions and he has executed over €1 billion in transactions across Europe. Prior to that, Daan served as Director of Capital Deployment and as a Portfolio Manager for the Prologis European Properties Fund II where he was responsible for formulating and implementing the short and long-term fund management strategy, investor reporting and investor relations. Daan also worked as an asset manager for Northern Europe and has implemented asset-level strategies for approximately €1.2 billion of real estate.
Daan holds an MSc in Real Estate Management & Development from the Eindhoven University of Technology.
Shane is responsible for Reporting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A and Business Technology. Prior to joining Gazeley in March 2014, Shane worked in various finance roles for three FTSE 100 companies. He joined Multiplex in 2004 as the Financial Controller for its UK Construction business, which was acquired by Brookfield in 2007. Since then he held various group reporting roles mainly overseeing Brookfield’s European real estate and infrastructure businesses. He worked on Brookfield’s acquisition of Gazeley and subsequently joined the business. Shane qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1994 and is an associate member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
Rachel set up GLP Europe’s in house Legal, Compliance and Governance function when she joined in 2014 and she also manages our Luxembourg team. Rachel leads GLP’s legal strategy in Europe and she and her Legal team support our teams on all of our transactions, coordinating our dedicated team of external counsel. Rachel oversees our Governance, Risk Management and Regulatory & Compliance programmes; ensuring robust standards and appropriate training. She has a keen interest in talent development and initiated GLP Europe’s mentoring programme. She also chairs GLP Europe’s Charities Committee.
Prior to joining GLP Europe, Rachel spent 10 years in the commercial real estate department of Herbert Smith Freehills LLP where she gained a broad experience of major corporate real estate acquisitions and disposals, corporate occupier lettings, acquisition finance and development projects.
Rachel has an MA in Jurisprudence from Oxford University. She has a solid understanding of cross border legal distinctions and has contributed to publications of the International Comparative Legal Guide to Real Estate and other legal journals.
Haidée is Head of HR for GLP’s platform in Europe. Haidée has worked for Europe for 15 years and played a key role in supporting the transition and restructuring of resource during multiple sales of the platform over the years. Haidée sits on the Senior Team within Europe and is responsible for leading the HR strategy and operations, across 8 different jurisdictions and an active member of the Global GLP HR community Working closely with internal stakeholders, Haidée is responsible for driving the creation of an environment that embeds the company’s Vision, Mission and Values, enabling strong performance from our colleagues that exceeds GLP’s high standards and makes GLP Europe a rewarding place to work.
