Giving Back
GLP Europe recognise the importance of sharing our success with others and are always looking for opportunities to make a positive contribution to the communities we operate in. As a Company we encourage our colleagues to contribute time and resources to charitable causes, through our generous charity policy, partnerships, and events. We are also committed to being a good neighbour and having a positive impact on local life, from powering 20,000 households per year with our 880,000 solar panels, to annual family fun days for the local community, to a university-partnered logistics academy and campus, we are dedicated to building long term relationships with our communities. This year we are proud to be partnered with the Princes Trust, supporting amazing young individuals to achieve incredible things. We are delighted that even with the circumstances 2020 has thrown at us, we were able to safely hold our annual charity bike ride, which this year supported Dementia UK, Mind and Parkinson’s UK.
Environmental, Social and Governance
Environmental, Social and Governance considerations are important to GLP Europe, we are conscious of our responsibility toward our stakeholders and the environment we develop and operate our properties in. We believe ESG is our corporate responsibility as business builders and investors as well as an opportunity to promote good business ethics and focus on a more sustainable and resilient future. Our commitment and vision to be leaders in sustainability was recently rewarded when we obtained certification for the first net zero carbon development in Europe. We continually strive to address the importance of ESG through our constant use of technology, integration of data and efficiencies across our business.
Health and Wellbeing
Great wellbeing is fundamental to the overall health and happiness of our colleagues. Colleagues have access to a number of wellbeing initiatives some of which include yoga, mental health webinars, an employee assistance programme and many others. We are always looking for new ways to make a positive impact on the health of our colleagues and these initiatives contribute to helping our colleagues thrive as well as maintaining our great culture.
