GLP Announces Transition of Board Leadership

GLP today announced that Dr. Seek Ngee Huat will be appointed as Chairman of the Board, with effect from 17 July 2014. This follows Mr. Ang Kong Hua’s decision to retire from the Board.

Singapore, 27 June 2014 – Global Logistic Properties Limited (“GLP”), the leading provider of modern logistics facilities in China, Japan and Brazil, today announced that Dr. Seek Ngee Huat will be appointed as Chairman of the Board, with effect from 17 July 2014. This follows Mr. Ang Kong Hua’s decision to retire from the Board. Following Mr. Ang’s retirement at the conclusion of GLP’s forthcoming AGM on 17 July 2014, he will relinquish the following positions: Non-Executive & Independent Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Human Resource and Compensation Committee and Member of the Audit Committee.
 

Dr. Seek has been a Non-Executive Director of GLP since its initial public offering (“IPO”) in 2010 and currently serves as Chairman of GLP’s Investment Committee and a member of GLP’s Human Resource and Compensation Committee. Dr. Seek retired as President of GIC Real Estate Private Limited in June 2011 after 15 years of service. He continued to serve as a director of GIC Real Estate Private Limited and as Advisor to the GIC Group Executive Committee and Chairman of GIC Latin America Business Group until his resignation on 30 June 2013.

Bio and Photo of Dr. Seek Ngee Huat

Dr. Seek Ngee Huat, 64, is an Independent Director of GLP. Appointed on 24 September 2010, Dr. Seek was last re-elected as Director at GLP’s Annual General Meeting on 19 July 2012. He is also Chairman of GLP’s Investment Committee and is a member of GLP’s Human Resource and Compensation Committee. Dr. Seek retired in 2011 as President of GIC Real Estate Private Limited after 15 years of service. He continued to serve a further two years as Advisor to the GIC Group Executive Committee, Chairman of GIC Latin America Business Group and a Board Director of GIC Real Estate.
 

Dr. Seek was conferred the Singapore Public Administration Gold Medal in 2007 and the National University of Singapore Distinguished Alumni Service Award in 2011. He holds a BSc (Estate Management) from the National University Singapore, a MSc (Business Administration) from the University of British Columbia and a PhD in Urban Research from the Australian National University.
 

Dr. Seek is presently a Board Director of Brookfield Asset Management Inc., Canada and Chongbang Holdings (International) Ltd. He also serves as a senior advisor to Frasers Centrepoint Limited and is Chairman of the Institute of Real Estate Studies and an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore. Dr. Seek has served on the International Advisory Councils of the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University and Fundacao Dom Cabral in Brazil and the real estate advisory boards of Cambridge University and Harvard University. He was a Board Director of the Pension Real Estate Association (USA) and the founding Chairman of the Property Council of Australia Property Index Committee. Prior to joining GIC, he was a senior partner with Jones Lang Wootton (now known as Jones Lang Lasalle), based in Sydney.
 

Dr. Seek’s appointments in the past included directorships at Fraser & Neave Limited, Banco BTG Pactual S.A. and BTG Pactual Participations Ltd.
