GLP Expands Cooperation with Sankyu Logistics in China

GLP has leased 17,000 sqm (183,000 sq ft) to Sankyu Logistics, an international 3PL provider. Sankyu Logistics is expanding its distribution centers in Souther, Northern and Eastern China to meet growing demand from a variety of customers.

Singapore, 5 September 2013 – Global Logistic Properties Limited (“GLP”), the largest provider of modern logistics facilities in China, Japan and Brazil, has leased 17,000 square meters (“sqm”) (183,000 square feet (“sq ft”)) to Sankyu Logistics, an international third party logistics (“3PL”) provider.

Sankyu Logistics is expanding its distribution centers in Foshan (Southern China), Tianjin (Northern China) and Suzhou (Eastern China) to meet growing demand from a variety of customers including leading global fast-moving consumer goods companies, consumer durables companies and industrial equipment manufacturers.

The following details the recently signed new lease agreements:

  • 7,500 sqm (81,000 sq ft) at GLP Park Shunde in Foshan, Southern China. With the newly signed agreement, GLP Park Shunde is 100% leased. GLP Park Shunde is located within the Shunde Science and Technology Industrial Park, a well-developed industrial zone close to the main consumption center of Guangzhou. GLP Park Shunde is well positioned to support distribution throughout the Greater Guangzhou Area.
  • 5,300 sqm (57,000 sq ft) at GLP Park Xiqing in Tianjin, Northern China. GLP Park Xiqing is located in Tianjin Xiqing Economic Development Zone where many electronics manufacturers are located. Near the Tianjin Outer Ring Highway, Expressway and easily accessible to Tianjin Airport and Tianjin Port, the park is an ideal choice for regional distribution within Northern China.
  • 4,200 sqm (45,000 sq ft) at GLP Park Suzhou Industrial (Genway) in Suzhou, Eastern China. Located in Suzhou Industrial Park, GLP Park Suzhou Industrial (Genway) provides a manufacturing platform for over 70 multi-national companies and is only an hour from Shanghai by expressway. The convenient and highly efficient transportation network facilitates the distribution of products within and beyond Eastern China.

 

Sankyu Logistics is an international 3PL service provider delivering integrated solutions to customers spanning a wide variety of industries including fast-moving consumer products, consumer durables and heavy equipment. The customer now leases 77,000 sqm (829,000 sq ft) across three locations with GLP in China.
