Singapore, 22 July 2013 – Global Logistic Properties Limited (“GLP”), the largest provider of modern logistics facilities in China, Japan and Brazil, has signed a new lease agreement of approximately 13,000 square metres (“sqm”) (140,000 square feet (“sq ft”)) in Fukuoka, Japan. This lease is the first signed between GLP and CL Co., Ltd, an expanding third-party logistics (“3PL”) company dealing with consumer and pharmaceutical products.

Yoshiyuki Chosa, President of GLP Japan said, “We are pleased to sign this new agreement to support our customer’s growth and improve their logistics network. As the demand for fast and accurate delivery is ever-increasing, modern specifications and the ability to maximize operational efficiency has become an important factor for our customers. Our properties are located in great locations, which will leverage our customers’ ability to serve key markets throughout Japan. ”

CL Co., Ltd is expanding their logistics network to meet customer demand and will utilize GLP Chikushino as its main distribution center within the region. In addition to the strategic location, the property’s large floor plates – which are rare in the region – were an important consideration for the customer.
GLP Chikushino is conveniently located 4-km from the Kyushu expressway and enjoys great access to Fukuoka city – the fourth-largest city in Japan by GDP – and neighbouring prefectures. As part of the property’s recent refurbishment program, new lifts were installed and office areas renovated. The lease ratio at GLP Chikushino currently stands at 100%.
